Marlin is a suite of P2P network protocols, that gives scale to the Internet and all Blockchains, with high throughput millisecond latency, while ensuring unbreakable anonymity.
Marlin’s high availability and reliability network is made possible with the creation of its versatile bandwidth sharing marketplace, built by its users.
Users pay LIN tokens to provision a customized overlay network powered by the Marlin. Nodes provide packet forwarding, routing, on-path processing and data storage allowing for high-scalability, reliability, and untraceable privacy.
Users join the network by running an open-source software that is available on all major operating systems (mobiles and routers too!). Running these nodes generates LIN tokens in proportion to the volume of traffic passing through them.
New nodes join the network by staking LIN tokens and passing regular Proof-of-Availability and Proof-of-Bandwidth checks to ensure network reliability along with guaranteed Quality of Service.

Marlin protocol is a high-performance network infrastructure for modern decentralized networks.
Marlin seeks to disrupt current Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) which are deemed too expensive for small-scale content publishers. They will decentralize these CDNs by providing a peer-to-peer content delivery network
Marlin’s current focus is on developing decentralized Content Delivery Network through the use of blockchain technology – they will decentralize these CDNs by providing a peer-to-peer content delivery network through Blockchain nodes, miners, Master nodes and Relay nodes.
Current decentralized systems are based on peer-to-peer communication via Gossip protocols. The system sends a broadcasting message to its peers and they distribute it further until the message has been received by the entire network.
Gossip protocols are known to be inefficient with their high latency and data consumption. Gossip message forwarding also opens the door for an attacker observing the network to infer the IP/network addresses of message senders, thereby revealing private information.
Marlin aims to advance the state of peer-to-peer communication systems with efficient network protocols for achieving planet-scale decentralized networks. Called layer-0, the scaling solution offers the promise to augment all existing layer-1 blockchain platforms.
They have several use-cases, such as messaging, streaming, trading and gaming Dapps. And for all of that, they guarantee privacy - by using probabilistic forwarding, shell games, anonymous routing, and more and scale - multipath routing, cut-through routing, multicast trees, and more.
Marlin has a strong explanation of their design and analysis of a decentralized relay network in their whitepaper. Marlin Tech offers higher throughput for blockchain platforms, lower fees, faster finality, and better performance.
