Holders of COINDEPO, the native token of the CoinDepo CeFi (centralized crypto finance) platform, have been actively involved in a number of CoinDepo’s ecosystem developments in recent months. Product builds, fund custody, and day-to-day operations stay with the company, while CoinDepo’s governance process allows COINDEPO token holders to make decisions regarding specific questions before money is spent or a new asset is made available on the platform. Examples have included which cryptocurrency should be added to CoinDepo’s list of supported options, how to split and allocate charity payments, and whether a proposed exchange listing justifies the potential outlay.
Two Votes Introduced Live Asset Deposit Options
The first completed CoinDepo asset vote asked COINDEPO holders which cryptocurrency should be added to the platform next. EURC, the euro-backed stablecoin, won with 648 participants voting; CoinDepo then completed the technical and operational work, and EURC is now open for the platform’s users to deposit into their accounts. Interest rates provided on EURC depend on the payout term selected by the user and can reach up to 16% per year. Eligible voters in the associated voting round also received 50 COINDEPO tokens as a participation reward.
A September 18 vote also chose SUI (the native asset of the Sui network) over other popular cryptocurrencies, including Hyperliquid, Hedera, and Zcash. The SUI integration is now complete, so CoinDepo account holders can also deposit SUI and earn up to 17% per year on the longest (annual) payout term.
Charity Votes Approved Partners and Payments
CoinDepo’s Charity Pool governance votes have also followed the same process, in which COINDEPO holders vote on decisions that are implemented by the company. After the results of an early-August allocation vote were confirmed, CoinDepo completed a $21,000 round for World Child Cancer (which received $10,000), GiveDirectly (allocated $10,000), and Damark (which received $1,000).
In late July, COINDEPO holders also voted on a new charity partner, and 567 participants supported a collaboration with Action Against Hunger. CoinDepo formalized the partnership, made an initial donation ($10,000) in support of the organization’s humanitarian programs in Kenya, and set further monthly contributions from the pool.
The latest charity-related voting round was the first to include the new partner and took place between September 7 and September 11. Holders selected a voting item that funded all four charities, totaling $31,000 in donations. World Child Cancer, GiveDirectly, and Action Against Hunger each received $10,000, while Damark received $1,000. CoinDepo published the charity allocation split, as well as transaction links connected to all of the above payments.
Listing Capital Kept for Later Exchange Proposals
The most recent governance vote for COINDEPO holders ended on October 5, and involved the company potentially allocating resources from its Token Ecosystem to pursue an exchange listing on Bit2Me (a regulated Spanish crypto exchange). The holders voted to preserve those resources for future listings instead, and CoinDepo agreed to decline the proposal and continue reviewing other opportunities (which could include larger exchange platforms, although no updates have been announced yet).
How COINDEPO Votes Are Cast and Recorded
CoinDepo’s user dashboards allow COINDEPO holders to vote directly from the same interface they use to manage their accounts – and the platform published all of the final results using the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), backed by Bitcoin timestamp proofs. COINDEPO balance snapshots (which are used to calculate Governance Scores on CoinDepo) are also published following the same process.
All of those proofs, records, and procedure announcements are published through the CoinDepo user dashboard’s Governance tab, as well as the official CoinDepo website’s publicly accessible governance page. With a rapidly expanding list of completed vote sessions encompassing new asset additions, charity allocations that led to confirmed and published payments, an exchange listing proposal that was declined in favor of potentially better deals, and a new charity partner selection, CoinDepo has clearly shown that its native token holders have a defined role in its ongoing ecosystem decisions.
