The groundbreaking game platform that seamlessly enables physically released trading cards to be redeemed digitally, visualized, played, traded or sold as digital assets while providing a marketplace for the worldwide community.
The first release to this platform is Ether Legends built on the Ethereum blockchain. Its stunning illustrative art, design and skill-based game play separate it as a true original with room for platform expansion and future game releases. The token, Elementeum, is the reward and currency that supports the digital ecosystem on this gaming platform.
Officially founded in 2017, Elementeum Gaming, LLC is focused on improving the experience for collectible trading card game players. The Elementeum Gaming team has worked together on many projects over the past 13 years, ranging from startups to significant roles in large corporations. With the emergence of mainstream blockchain technology, the Elementeum Gaming team saw an opportunity to introduce Ether Legends and its currency, Elementeum, in order to provide players secure, tangible ownership of their digital and physical cards and other collectible assets.
Best of both worlds... Ether legends is a physical and digital collectible trading card game with a breadth of scalability in the digital platform drive by our token currency, Elementeum (ELET).
Dating back to 2010 the rise of Bitcoin fueled the cofounders' fascination with cryptocurrency mining and the utility of blockchain technologies. Understanding that Bitcoin was just one potential application of the underlying blockchain technology, the cofounders were excited to see what innovations would be made in the blockchain space. The 2015 release of the Ethereum platform opened up a world of possibilities for blockchain applications. After much research, the Elementeum Gaming team concluded that the Ethereum network was the ideal launch platform for Ether Legends, with all the required infrastructure and functionality needed to bring the Ether Legends gaming platform to life.
Our mission at Elementeum Gaming, LLC is to become the preferred gaming platform for digital trading card games. Put simply, we aim to be the best platform and ecosystem where players can earn, buy, sell, and trade online and truly own their digital assets. To do so, the team is committed to creating a collectible trading card game with seamless blockchain integration where players experience a strong connection to the Ether Legends characters, experience competitive, fair matchplay, earn rewards, and most importantly, have fun!
To succeed, the Elementeum Gaming team recognizes that Ether Legends MUST BE:
Unique Visually Astounding Fun Engaging Light-hearted Humorous Fair Balanced Skill-based over chance-based Simple but maintain depth Expandible Rewarding Playable worldwide Playable for all ages Safe and secure
Our team is excited for this opportunity and for the future of Ethereum, bringing it one step closer to mainstream. The time is now. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be a part of the next evolution of trading card game play. For more information on the team and experience, please read the whitepaper.

The idea of blockchain based online card games is interesting as it ties a real value to the digital products. Making cards rare is suddenly a real viable option.
Using ethereum is not the best idea though. As we've seen with the crypto kitties debacle, ethereum doesnt scale well when under major load.

Jan - we appreciate the feedback. I would like to highlight that Ethereum is entrenched in two major upgrades, one of them called, “Plasma” currently planned in for 2019 that should address the transaction debacle as you mention with cryptokitties. With Plasma, Ethereum is set to handle 100,000 transactions per second compared to its current mere 10 transactions per second. We do recognize this potential issue but also trust Ethereum is doing all it can to address scalability as we have kept up on since 2016.

What kills this ICO is the lack of scalability: why tie a physical trading card game to smart contracts? Another is the target customer: Would young players actually find the benefit of having Ether-associated tokens to the game?
Application of tokens is a massive stretch. I am not a believer.

The platform has significant scalability, in fact even endless. Physical game play is one option. A smart contract in this instance facilitates players redemption of their physical trading cards into the Ethereum Blockchain using the QR code that is located on the back of a physical card (unique). Beyond this example, smart contracts have nothing to do with the physical version of the game. However, smart contracts will govern all aspects of the Ether Legends digital platform.
We recognize that Blockchain-based gaming is in its infancy and is not meant for a younger audience, especially without parental consent. Therefore, the Ether Legends digital game is intended for players ages 18 and older. For those 17 and under, the physical trading card game will allow players to collect physical cards and play in person with friends and family. The Ether Legends physical trading card game is family friendly and suitable for all ages.
In all, we offer a physical trading card game where you can optionally redeem physical assets to the Blockchain and a digital game where you can obtain and access digital cards and game play through the online marketplace, both aspects being stand-alone and optionally connected. Please read our white paper at etherlegends.io and our FAQ for additional clarification and information.
