T. Rowe Price had added Cardano ADA to its Active Crypto ETF, which trades under the ticker TKNZ. ADA had been absent from the fund’s initial holdings and was later added to the portfolio.
TKNZ is an actively managed exchange-traded product sponsored by T. Rowe Price Sponsor LLC, according to an April 27, 2026 Form S-1/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The preliminary prospectus said the fund’s shares were expected to trade on NYSE Arca under the TKNZ symbol and could be purchased and sold through broker-dealers.
NEWS: T. Rowe Price has added Cardano $ADA to its Active Crypto ETF $TKNZ.
ADA wasn't part of the fund's initial holdings when it launched in July. Now it is, with a 0.44% allocation alongside $BTC, $ETH, $BNB, $SOL, $XRP and others.

The filing described the fund’s objective as seeking long-term capital growth through investments in crypto assets. It also said the fund is limited to assets that meet the criteria in its asset-eligibility framework. Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. was identified as custodian for the fund’s crypto assets and stablecoins.
Those filing details describe the fund’s proposed structure and eligibility framework. They do not, by themselves, document a later live ADA holding.

Cardano (ADA) Reported Inclusion
TKNZ launched in mid-July without ADA, even though earlier filings indicated that Cardano could qualify under the fund’s framework. The outlet said the latter addition placed ADA alongside other crypto assets held by the fund at launch.
Cardano’s inclusion is an indication that T. Rowe Price considers ADA eligible under TKNZ’s investment framework. That framework covers issues including regulatory classification, liquidity, custody, valuation, and an asset’s ability to be held and traded within a regulated investment product.
The T. Rowe Price headquarters buildingFor investors, the relevant distinction is the product structure. TKNZ shares are exchange-traded securities that investors can buy or sell through a broker-dealer, while the fund itself is designed to hold eligible crypto assets. The SEC filing also cautioned that an investment in the fund is subject to the risks of crypto assets and crypto-asset markets, as well as the risks associated with an actively managed ETP.

What the Move Does, and Does Not-Show
ADA allocation in TKNZ is small. Because the supplied SEC filing is a preliminary prospectus and does not provide a later holdings record, the size, ranking, and value of any ADA position cannot be independently established from that filing.
The inclusion nonetheless expands the ways in which investors may obtain exposure to Cardano through a fund structure. Whether ADA remains in the portfolio, changes in size, or appears in additional products would require updated fund disclosures or other direct holdings information.
ADA’s price movement and TKNZ’s addition occurred in the same period, but the available evidence does not establish a lasting effect on demand or future price performance. Crypto assets and shares in crypto-focused exchange-traded products carry substantial market risk, as the fund’s prospectus notes.
