Meteora Crypto Rallies 70% After DLMM Pro Reveal

Meteora crypto token MET was trading at $0.5355 on October 8, up 70.2% in 24 hours after a range of $0.3042 to $0.5442. The move followed Meteora’s announcement of DLMM Pro at the Solana Summit Singapore on October 6.

On the chart, MET/USDT broke out of a $0.31 to $0.34 range late on October 7 and climbed to $0.5468 the next morning. Trading volume reached $313.9 million, above MET’s $299.9 million market cap, while perpetual futures open interest stood at $155.7 million.

That ratio suggests much of the rally is driven by short-term and leveraged trading rather than long-term accumulation.

DLMM Pro’s Promise Is Unification, Not Proven Adoption

DLMM Pro is a planned market that combines DLMM, DAMM v2, and the Dynamic Bonding Curve. The demo showed reusable Spot, Curve, and Bid-Ask liquidity shapes, transferable or delegated positions, anti-sniper settings, activation controls, fee modes, and limit orders.

Demo parameters also included a 0.5% base fee, tick 16, and a set trading start time, but these were not confirmed as final specifications.

Standard DLMM already supports several of the displayed functions. The main proposition is bringing those tools into one market, not a new instruction set. More importantly, Meteora has not published a launch date, program ID, documentation, or a first on-chain pool, so neither adoption nor added protocol revenue can be verified.

A related Solana liquidity-product launch offers ecosystem context, but product announcements alone do not establish sustained usage.

Meteora Crypto Needs a Catalyst Beyond the Announcement

The bullish case depends on delivery. If DLMM Pro ships and token teams use it at scale, configurable launch markets could raise activity across Meteora’s $315.1 million in total value locked. That would matter most if live pools generate new fees and Meteora explains how those fees reach MET holders.

The bearish case is that attention fades before deployment, especially if the waitlist does not turn into live markets. The October 6 announcement included no new incentive for MET holders, so the rally has no confirmed value-accrual mechanism behind it. Supply is another factor: 557.8 million MET circulate out of a 1 billion maximum, leaving a fully diluted valuation of $536.4 million, almost double the market cap.

For Meteora crypto, the open question is whether this surge can be followed by measurable product use. Until a live DLMM Pro pool and clear fee contribution appear, the MET rally remains a sharp price move on an early-stage announcement, not confirmation of a product-led breakout.
