Morpho has given altcoin traders something Bitcoin has not today: a convincing move of its own.
MORPHO is trading at $2.150 after gaining 7.52% over 24 hours and 11.63% across the week – a rally that follows a run of tangible progress for the lending protocol. Morpho said earlier this month that deposits on Base had surpassed $5 billion, accounting for more than 70% of the network’s deposits.
Coinbase’s crypto-backed loans alone have produced more than $1.3 billion in outstanding USDC borrowing through Morpho, while the protocol is increasingly being embedded behind exchanges and fintech products.
There may also be a supply component to the move, as CoinMarketCap reported that 5.59 million MORPHO, worth about $10.8 million at the time, left exchanges on August 13 – the largest single-day outflow since the token began trading.
For investors who missed MORPHO’s latest advance, the question is where similar project-specific stories are developing before the market has fully priced them in.
Right now, three presales stand out for very different reasons: Bitcoin Hyper is tackling faster, more useful Bitcoin payments; LiquidChain is building infrastructure around unified blockchain liquidity; and Maxi Doge is trying to turn meme-coin tribalism into an active competitive community.
Bitcoin Hyper Targets the Next Stage of Bitcoin Payments
Bitcoin Hyper starts with a market that does not need inventing: People already own Bitcoin in enormous numbers. The remaining problem is making BTC easier to use when waiting for base-layer settlement is impractical.
So HYPER is building a Bitcoin Layer 2 around the Solana Virtual Machine – frequent activity happens in the faster execution environment, where users will be able to send and receive their BTC value with near-instant finality. Layer 2 transactions are batched and compressed, verified with zero-knowledge proofs, and periodically committed to the Bitcoin Layer 1. That’s Solana’s speed, and Bitcoin’s trusted layer beneath it.

That offers real-world payments and other BTC transactions that need to be considerably quicker than interacting directly with Bitcoin’s base chain. The SVM also leaves room for trading and financial tools around those payments, rather than building a network with only one use.
HYPER has raised an incredible $33 million in presale funding at $0.01368 per token and offers a 35% staking APY. Coinsult and SpyWolf are contract auditors.
The raise is significant because Bitcoin scaling is ultimately a distribution opportunity as much as a technical one – HYPER does not have to persuade users to hold BTC, but it can give those holders the ability to use it, not just hold it.
Morpho offers a useful lesson here – its recent growth has come partly from putting open financial infrastructure behind products that ordinary customers encounter through companies such as Coinbase. Bitcoin Hyper’s challenge will be different, but the principle is similar: infrastructure becomes valuable when it involves real users.
LiquidChain Says That Liquidity Matters More Than Another Chain
LiquidChain addresses a problem created by crypto’s own success – Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana all attracted substantial capital without converging into one network. However, it has led to liquidity spread in different places – “one chain to rule them all” never emerged. LiquidChain’s Layer 3 is built to make those boundaries less intrusive.
The protocol combines cross-chain verification with a shared execution layer, which, in short, means it can verify activity from Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, and create multichain operations that are designed to settle atomically – the required pieces complete together rather than leaving a transaction partially executed.

That creates a different growth proposition from launching another Layer 1 – LiquidChain becomes more useful precisely because several chains continue succeeding. As tokenized assets, DeFi, and payments spread across different networks, access to liquidity becomes an infrastructure problem in its own right.
LiquidChain is pursuing that idea at a cross-chain level – no bridges, no wrapping, just the ability to choose your own transactions across the leading chains. Its suggestion is that capital becomes more useful when applications can extend beyond the boundaries of a single ecosystem.
An underrated feature is that developers will be able to plug their platforms into LIQUID and access three chains at once – no coding for each one individually.
LIQUID costs $0.0148 and has raised $940,000, with staking available at 1,202% APY. The presale is the earliest on this list, leaving more development and adoption to prove, yet a very early entry into future upside. Connected liquidity appears to be becoming a larger theme through 2026 and 2027, and LIQUID is one of the first entrants into Layer 3.
Maxi Doge Builds the Tribe Before the Listing
Maxi Doge is the speculative, meme coin entry of the three, and pretending otherwise would miss why people are buying it.
Meme coins work differently from protocols – their strongest asset is often the tribe, such as Dogecoin with its permanently bemused Shiba Inu. Maxi Doge replaces that with something much more assertive and on-trend for 2026: a muscular Doge addicted to gym sessions, trading sessions, and chasing the next win.

MAXI’s features are planned around that personality, including contests rewarding top ROI hunters, gamified tournaments, and events in collaboration with futures platforms.
The competitive element gives the community somewhere to take the project – a tournament creates winners, rivalries, and another event to return for. That is more useful to a meme coin than attaching arbitrary technical features simply to claim utility.
MAXI has already raised $4.84 million before DEX or CEX trading begins – that’s an incredible result before exchanges can get their hands on the ticker. MAXI is priced at $0.00028 today, and staking offers 64% APY.
That pre-listing position is important when comparing MAXI with an established token that has already moved – the project is finding its audience before open-market price discovery starts.
The Better Lesson From MORPHO Is to Look for a Reason
Chasing MORPHO after an 11.63% weekly gain is one option, but a more useful exercise is understanding why capital noticed it.
Morpho has spent 2026 accumulating deposits, integrations, and real lending activity. Its Base deployment alone now holds more than $5 billion, while Coinbase and other financial businesses increasingly use Morpho infrastructure behind their own products. The price move arrived it had made an impact.
That is a useful filter for the best altcoins to buy today: HYPER has a $33 million raise based on the need for faster, more practical Bitcoin usage. LIQUID is pushing for a world where liquidity increasingly needs to travel across successful chains. MAXI has already assembled a $4.84 million meme-coin community before exchange trading and plans to turn that audience into competitors.
