Bitcoin News Today: Bitcoin opened September by defending the $76,500 support zone after gaining 25% in August, putting market attention on a key price floor just as Washington returns to digital-asset legislation. The immediate policy date is September 15, when the Senate is scheduled to hold a procedural vote on the Clarity Act.
If advanced, the bill would split parts of digital-asset oversight between the SEC and the CFTC, introduce registration requirements, and tighten anti-money-laundering standards. For markets, that means Bitcoin is now trading against two active drivers at once: price support near the mid-$76,000s and a fresh round of US regulatory debate.
At the same time, capital is still flowing into projects built around crypto infrastructure. One example is LiquidChain (LIQUID), whose presale has raised nearly $960,000 and is approaching the $1 million mark. The project says its Layer 3 network is designed to connect Bitcoin’s capital base with Ethereum’s DeFi stack and Solana’s speed in a single environment.
Bitcoin News Today: September 15 Clarity Act Vote Puts US Crypto Rules Back in Focus
The Clarity Act has remained the central market-structure bill in Congress for more than a year, and in Bitcoin news Today, Senate Majority Leader John Thune has now set September 15 for a procedural vote after lawmakers return from recess. If that hurdle is cleared, the legislation could move to full floor debate.
But the path is not settled. Senators are still divided over stablecoin rewards and an ethics provision that would prevent senior officials from issuing or sponsoring digital assets, with draft language currently set to expire in 2029. Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego, one of two Democrats who helped move the bill out of the Banking Committee, has been working on a bipartisan compromise around the ethics language.
Executives attending the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium in Jackson Hole last month said they do not expect a finished law this year, citing the midterm calendar and the Senate’s 60-vote threshold. Even so, some argued that added clarity could still come through SEC and CFTC rulemaking if the bill slips. President Trump has repeatedly called for a defined framework for builders, while the SEC, CFTC, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency have each taken a more open stance toward digital assets this year.
BTC Price Levels Lead the Market Conversation
The slower legislative timeline has fed directly into price action. Bitcoin dropped as low as $76,420 yesterday before rebounding toward $77,500, keeping the $76,500 area in focus as the nearest support level for traders watching short-term momentum.
Analyst Michaël van de Poppe said BTC appears to be sweeping liquidity from recent dips, with $82,700 as the next bullish target if buyers regain control.
This is very likely going to break upwards.
The reasoning behind that is super simple, as it's currently been taking the liquidity beneath the lows.

Support levels across other large caps are also being watched, including Ethereum near $2,400 and Solana near $99. Still, the main Bitcoin setup remains straightforward: hold support, absorb policy uncertainty, and wait for clearer signals from both Washington and the chart.
LiquidChain Targets a Technical Fix for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana Fragmentation
While Bitcoin news Today remains unresolved, newer infrastructure plays are still attracting funding. LiquidChain (LIQUID) is focused on a familiar industry problem: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana often operate as separate ecosystems, making asset movement between them costly, confusing, or risky for less experienced users.
The project says its Layer 3 blockchain verifies Bitcoin UTXOs, Ethereum states, and Solana accounts through trust-minimized proofs and messaging. Its stated aim is to represent assets from those three chains on one execution layer without relying on more complex wrapping methods.
LiquidChain also says a Solana-class virtual machine will support real-time apps, allowing builders to deploy once and access users and liquidity across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. According to the project, atomic settlement would take place inside its proof and messaging layer rather than through a separate bridge stack.

The presale is now in Stage 101 and has raised almost $960,000, leaving it roughly $40,000 short of the $1 million threshold. The current token price is $0.014951.
LIQUID Token Supply, Utility, and Presale Access
LIQUID has a total supply of 11,800,000,100. The project says 35% is allocated to development, 32.5% to LiquidLabs for growth work, 15% to the AquaVault for business development and community programs, 10% to rewards, and 7.5% to growth and listings.
According to the project, the token is intended for network participation, gas fees, staking, and access to Layer 3 features. Tokens are expected to become claimable on Ethereum when the claim window opens, and exchange listings are planned after the sale.
For those looking to participate before the presale ends, buyers can use the official LiquidChain site by connecting a wallet and purchasing LIQUID at $0.014951 per token. The token is also available through the Best Wallet app, which can be downloaded via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Accepted payment methods include BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, USDT, and USDC, along with a bank card option. The project also says purchased tokens can be staked immediately, with the current staking return listed at 1,188% APY.
