Taewon Song received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree from School of Electrical Engineering from Korea University, Seoul, Korea, in 2010 and 2017, respectively. In 2017, he joined LG Electronics, where he is currently a senior researcher in Advanced Standard R&D Laboratory. From Feb. 2015 to Apr. 2015, he was the visiting student supported by BK21+ project in University of Florida. From Jan. 2012 to Feb. 2012, he was the visiting researcher in National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). He is currently working on standardization for wake-up radio and next-generation WLANs. His current research interests are cooperative and opportunistic networking, low-power wake-up radio and wireless MAC protocol of next-generation WLANs.
