I'm a decentralist, using the tools of the trade: blockchain and the crypto rewards model
Steve Englander, Chief Product at Knowledge.io, is a product innovator focusing on ad tech, ecommerce, education, workforce, and blockchain technology. He finds inspiration in decentralization technologies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum and is keen on applying these and similar platforms to build decentralized knowledge sharing networks and applications.
Steve was product manager at one of the early successes in the online advertising and ecommerce spaces while employed with LinkShare Corporation in New York in the late 1990s until 2001. He was introduced to performance marketing and ecommerce product data feed technology for the internet’s largest retail and ecommerce brands, having launched 160+ merchants onto the platform, and contributing to the development of the Merchandiser Product Data Feed Specification containing millions of products’ specs, used to power price comparison engines, coupons, and rewards sites. LinkShare Corporation was subsequently acquired by Japanese leader Rakuten and is now part of the Rakuten Marketing suite. In the early 2000s,
Steve worked with visual merchandising company RichFX, later acquired by ChannelAdvisor, implementing product merchandising technology platforms to help the world’s largest ecommerce retailers better showcase and display features of their products. He also developed a way to package up RichFX’s visual merchandising suite of solutions inside deployable rich media advertising units.
In 2005, he worked in a product management capacity reporting to both the Chief Product Officer and Chief Scientist at [x+1] where he learned about statistical and predictive modeling, algorithms, computational pipelines, and the use of big data for the purpose of optimization in the digital advertising space. [x+1] was acquired by RocketFuel, and later acquired by Sizmek. Since then, he has operated the Ad Exchange Masters group on LinkedIn with over 15,000 vetted ad tech industry participants at the forefront of the ever-evolving programmatic space.
Steve also spent several years developing a proprietary AI platform for the recruiting space during his 12 years as a product innovator and top recruiter to some of the world’s most successful ad tech and ecommerce/retail brands, along with other high and specialized technology firms throughout the US and in several key tech hubs throughout the world.
Steve is focused on the decentralized future of consumer and workforce economic models by transplantation of blockchains into existing ecosystems.
