Sarah founded the Airsave Travel idea in December 2014 and launched the Airsave Travel app (a fully functional centralised social media platform), in 2017 on the Apple App Store. At the same time Sarah secured an exclusive travel services agreement with STA Travel: the largest travel company in the world for student travel.
Sarah designed Airsave Travel's entire frontend social media platform. The minimum viable product enabled users to easily connect with friends to save and earn virtual points, which they could convert via the app to to spend on discounted travel. Users could also view travel savings and earnings in real time. Sarah also handled the design of the app’s backend system to track users’ virtual travel earnings - so that the rewards could be transferred to respective users.
