In 2016, Sam founded Corl - a FinTech that offers data-driven growth capital to startups backed by a security token. Prior to Corl, Sam was the Head of Product at IOU Financial, a publicly-listed online lender (TSX:IOU), where he supported the company originate over $500mm in loans across the United States & Canada through continuous product development and innovation. Sam is also the Director of Sam Kay Consulting - a FinTech & Blockchain advisory services firm for startups and financial institutions.

Sam is an advocate of neo banking, self-sovereign identity, transparent payments, and digitizing securities on the blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies.

Sam is currently an advisor at Kabn, AuBit, and Trusted In Trading - financial services companies solving tomorrow's problems.

Sam has a Master’s degree in Quality Systems Engineering from Concordia University.
