Roger is the founder of Carbon Black and an experienced advisor in the global fintech, cryptocurrency, gaming & digital industries. Known as a well-connected deal-maker and trusted board advisor, Roger has led the delivery of numerous board engagements for FTSE-listed gaming and fintech firms. Highly successful track record in international M&A, having advised on the buy and sell-sides during more than £10bn in corporate transactions. Long record of proactively originating and/or screening corporate deals (M&A, ICOs, JVs and strategic partnerships), with a particular expertise in sourcing opportunities for international growth.
Roger previously led the global fintech & gaming practice for Crowe LLP, the world’s 7th largest advisory, consulting and technology network with 35,000 employees in 130 countries. Previous to this Roger was COO for UBS investment bank in the UK, leading 1,100 employees with a £0.5bn operating budget. Roger was Chief of Staff of UBS’ global restructuring unit during the £3.5bn redesign of UBS’ operating model. Roger also held a directorship with a multinational advisory group, during which time he worked with the board of RBS as they undertook the largest corporate turnaround in history.
