Shipit — is a community of senders and travelers united by the mobile app that helps the former ship packages and the latter make extra money while traveling.
Shipit is a symbiosis of best ideas and practices of courier, crowdsource and crowdshipping services. We have synthesized the best business practices to create a revolutionary and unique service. Just as Uber and BlaBlaCar have already become a part of our daily lives, Shipit is going to become an irreplaceable tool for shipping.
It is the first app of its kind that will use smart contracts and blockchain as a native tool to make people lives easier all around the world. By implementing Shipit tokens and using the blockchain we want to build relationships between users based on transparency, safety and ease of tracking for all deliveries on the platform.
While courier services are becoming more expensive, Shipit allows users to ship and track open packages at lower costs and risks. Shipping has never been easier.
Millions of people ship packages daily and all around the world. However, there is a high chance of a sender running into issues of expensive shipping services, delivery delays, and high risks of shipments getting lost or damaged. Customs and postal services may cause a wide variety of troubles ranging from excessive paperwork to outright theft. At the same time those services cannot boast of outstanding efficiency and fast work: sometimes the shipments are delivered behind all reasonable deadlines. Aside from that, governments often charge different shipping fees and taxes inexplicable to the sender.
Commercial courier companies are not perfect as well. It is worth mentioning that courier and parcel delivery services have to employ a lot of people, machinery, and equipment units as well as to take care of insurance policies for their activities. All that leads to more than significant costs that are eventually carried by customers.
Delivery and courier services often cannot ship a parcel directly from point A to point B and are forced to resort to transit hubs which introduce even more threats and risks. Naturally, the increase in number of intermediary delivery and courier companies involved does not lead to increase of the responsibility of each party involved.
Although courier and parcel delivery companies have made our lives easier, they still have not fully addressed any of the questions above. Naturally, in the world of globalization and digitization and given the constant growth of global GDP and retail e-commerce sales, the significance of these issues is going to increase proportionally to the shipping volumes worldwide.
The world around us is rapidly developing and people all around the globe wanting to make things better than they are today may have only one viable option - to shift from the consumption and possession economy to the sharing economy.
Market growth
In spite of current difficulties, the global market of courier and parcel delivery services constantly develops and provides the delivery companies with billions of revenue. The courier and express delivery industry has been growing by annual 1% during the last five years from 2012 to 2017. The IBISWorld experts expect the demand for courier services to continue to increase over the next five years by 2022. This is caused by the growth of customer spending and demand for goods. Many companies are going to turn to air means of shipping in order to secure out on-time deliveries for the customers. There are almost 3 million employees and 600,000 companies on the market. The market size of the industry currently counts with $240 bln. According to the report by Accenture.com, the market of express deliveries is expected to grow from $237,9 bln in 2017 to $343,1 bln in 2020.
The number of start-ups contributing to sharing economy and attracting more investments grows annually. Investor interest rises to new features and possibilities that collaborative consumption can offer. Sharing goods and services, barter, rent makes people reflect not only on what they get but also how they get it. According to TIME Magazine's visionary article, collaborative consumption is one of 10 ideas that are going to change the world within the next 10 years. It is a new socio-economic model that is going to reshape consumption of services and goods. Although, there are prominent players in some sharing economy industries such as Airbnb in travelling, ZipCar in carsharing, Uber in taxi – the crowd shipping market is still at its very early stages of development.
Having analyzed problems that customers of courier and parcel delivery services usually face, our team came with the idea of Shipit and designed the project's main concept.
Let people ship your packages.
Shipit a mobile app that connects senders and travelers around the globe and provides them with cost-effective, fast, and reliable solution to deliver packages. Aside from that, it is an excellent tool to earn extra money while traveling. Shipit allows to set new delivery chains, to make complicated processes simpler, and to manage luggage more efficiently. It does not matter where you send your shipment, shipping will still be the most cost-effective and simple!
Shipit is a symbiosis of best ideas and practices of courier, crowdsource and crowdshipping services. We have synthesized the best business practices to create a revolutionary and unique service. Just as Uber and BlaBlaCar have already become a part of our daily lives, Shipit is going to become an irreplaceable tool for shipping items.
It is the first app of its' kind that uses smart contracts and blockchain as a native tool to make people lives easier all around the world. By implementing blockchain we want to build relations between participants based on transparency and safety, which should be an objective of any system. By integrating cryptowallet, we want to spare the app of any issues and restrictions related to fiat transactions.
Objective of Shipit is to create an alternative platform for express deliveries based on principles of sharing economy, blockchain and crowd shipping.
How It Works
The app is simple and intuitive. You just need to take a picture of an item you want to ship using your smartphone camera, input points A and B of your shipment's journey, set the size and value of item and the price you are willing to pay for the delivery. The system matches the input data with that of travelers and picks the best matches. Communicate with the candidates, pick the best one, hand off your item and track it upon delivery. Shipit verifies its users and monitors all shipments providing items' safety. Interactive interface makes the shipping simple and fast. You do not need to worry about making a mistake or missing important details.
Key Features
No customs charges or taxes, if the item fits green channel requirements.
Lower probability of theft or damage.
Shipping to individuals and legal entities.
Lower costs than when using delivery services.
Personal communication with delivering travelers.
No paperwork and bureaucracy.
Sender does not overpay for brand and promotion.
Sender's money is fairly distributed within the system instead of being transferred to corporations.
Travelers manage their luggage more efficiently.
Travelers contribute to the world.
Target Market
The Asia-Pacific Region (APAC) has long been a major focus for multinational enterprises, as the supply chains have been going through the process of globalization, and the demand of Western countries for Asian exports has been increasing. As the region shifts from an export-dependent economy to a customer-oriented one, the dynamics of logistics undergo changes as well. Local international supply chains once primarily constituted by dominating air and water freight companies have become a solid network of regional supply chains based on e-commerce. Unlike the US, the APAC market is fragmented and immature and is struggling to cope with huge demand. As a result, many retailers and e-commerce providers have created their own logistics solutions.
Despite the growth in online spending, the domestic supply chains in the Asia-Pacific Region are underdeveloped compared to its export supply chains. Some of the problems that the region is struggling with inadequate warehouse services, fragmented supply chains, poor technology and service, competition based exclusively on prices.
The Shipit team strongly believes that the Asia-Pacific Region is the most promising among the largest and developing markets. According to reports by experts from Accenture, the region's share in the near future will not only prevail over other regions of The World, but also will strengthen its position in general due to economic growth by 2020.

The concept of crowdshipping is a very powerful one and a huge disrupter for the shipping industry. Much like Uber has been to the taxi industry. Add to this the blockchain and a good Token use case and you have a strong project.
This is not financial advice or a recommendation to invest in this or any other ICO. Investors must perform their own due diligence and not rely on external ratings to make their final investment decisions. ICOs are risky and 100% loss of capital is possible.

Team - young but well educated core team well complemented by experienced advisory board.
Vision - I like the idea of this - sharing economy meets UPS. There is a risk that carrying packages for other people may land participants in a lot of trouble, but common sense should preclude the majority of these issues. Furthermore, regardless of the content, would you trust a stranger with an expensive package in transit? Good use case of DLT and good assessment of competition in WP. Good break down on use of funds at different raises too.
Product - downloaded app, looks great, user friendly.
Good luck to the team with implementing this project. It stands every chance of being a shining light of the blockchain movement in my opinion.

Team is decent.
Idea is good - I definitely loved it at first instance but then I thought whether this is going to be really BIG? I am not sure because of the main reason is as a normal person to earn few $$, I do not want to carry someone's risk with me!! Lots of complication involved when we talk about whole world! On top of this I don't understand what's the use of Blockchain here! This can be implemented easily in traditional way!
Great idea along-side a great team. Shipit will play a big role in the future and industry of shipping, with the use of blockchain and good usage of its token it will surely do so. The community will be enticed to use the product if implemented right.

Team could be stronger. Product itself is a great use of technology, however I am not quite getting the main differences from the competition. Vision could use clarification as the WP lacks half of the information necessary for me as a potential investor.
Marketing strategy could be much better as well.

Awesome idea and the MVP is interesting. You are better than any other products of the same type is to make its MVP available on both Google Play and Appstore even it is not widely used yet.
Advisors are strong so it helps investors a peace of mind for investment.
It's not usual and really nice project with intersting idea where Blockchain tech could show up how it can enhance crowdsource services. Crypto should fit in just perfectly as well.
The team seems to know what they are doing and has the experience required to achieve the goals. An impressive advisory board should help the project stir in the right direction.
One more good thing is that the Whitepaper is backed up by an MVP, which was tested and looks pretty ready for mass adoption.
Best of luck to the team!

Shipit - crowd sourced courier services - is indeed a game-changer in the express courier industry and has great potential, however it will require - in due course - heavy investment in infrastructure across countries, regions and continents.
The key to express courier services is ensuring timely delivery of goods and documents without damage, delay or simply lost. And that’s where infrastructure comes in, the whole logistics operations of actually collecting and delivering parcels and packages.
The most critical aspect is always the “first mile” and “last mile” of any shipment and ensuring this to a high degree of at least 95% (if not much higher) is where the challenges are. Most express couriers know this and ensure proper delivery wherever and whenever possible, however when things go wrong, it can go very wrong and packages are simply not delivered as sent. This will require a solid operational infrastructure and back up systems for packages that are in transit and need to be delivered at a certain point, place and time.
Reading through the information provided on the shipit website (for some reason I could not download the white paper), it appears that all bases are covered and the business model explained in sufficient detail except for one thing, how do you ensure that the contents of any package are safe, trusted and not subject to import duties and taxes? Even more importantly, how do you ensure that no criminal items, contraband or illegal goods are hidden within packages and given to some unwitting “personal carrier” to take across borders. A solid review system is good, trust is better but control is critical.
Me personally, I would never ever take with or transport any package or parcel across any border - especially in the Far East - that is given to me by a stranger, let alone someone who I have never met or seen before. Even from friends and family, I would always double-check the contents and even then, still be worried. And that will be a big issue to consider in this project, therefore my 4 star rating across the board.
I would have given the team a 5 star rating, however after noticing that the team does not handle criticism properly, I can only give a 4 star rating because I believe giving a review that includes constructive criticism should not be reprimanded or ridiculed by an official response from a team member. I guess I can now expect a damning response to my above mentioned remarks and concerns.
Anyhow, I wish the Shipit team a lot of success with their innovative crowd-sourced courier services project and upcoming ICO !

Shipping is about trust and operational expertise. Building up a community that is big enough and reliable enough is almost not possible.
I have seen similar approaches with good cooperation partners such as Uber, Taxi or Trains but they still failed. Creative Video with little content though.
Damir YalalovICO team member replied on 13 Jun 2018
Thank you for your opinion, Tobias. We have expected something like this to come our way. We strongly disagree with it, though.
History has seen quite successful crowdshipping services - that we are going to compete with or complement their services - such as PiggyBee and Airmule.
We already have an MVP that has been highly praised by testers and experts; of course, it needs polishing but once taken to its maximum potential, it will have everything required to get traction. Unlike Uber and Taxi or Trains, Shipit will be empowered by immutability and security of blockchain and smart contracts that are promised to be the spine of 'sharing economy 2.0'.
We also would like to mention Airbnb and BlaBlaCar that are faring just fine. Besides, Uber is still functioning and does not offer only ridesharing but a wide variety of other services. It is rather too early to call it a failure: at least, from our point of view.
And the last but certainly not the least, our project recently has been supported and joined by Roger Crook who as a CEO at DHL in the past knows a thing or two about express and parcel delivery industry, wouldn't you agree?
Finally, it is always easy to say that nothing is going to come out of it and sit tight doing nothing than try and do something good for the world and people who live next to you.

The uniqueness of this project makes it somewhat interesting. It is a concept that makes some sense. I am not sure about the security issues though. I hope it is not as simple as:
“ I want to send some white cookies from Colombia to USA can you please send them for me?”
There must be some descent KYC when someone want to send a package via a traveler and a legislation in place in case of illicit trafficking. Furthermore it will be hard to deal with the bureaucracy in each country (see Uber) for receipts, anti tax evasion mechanisms etc.

A beautiful concept and another real world application of shared economy which holds true potential to disrupt the courier markets. But the question is regarding the safety and trust on delivery, which will decide the success of this product. Good marketing and early adoption can help it build momentum for gaining users. But the baggage restriction in international flights etc. can really restrict the nature of items that are carried and can lead to commodity laundering concerns. May work well for documents/letters etc. Hard Cap is fixed on the higher side. Advisory and Founding team holds good credentials for project success.

VISION: On the face of it, this is an excellent idea based on the sharing economy with clear disruptive capabilities. However, there are clearly complex issues involved with transporting packages that other reviewers have already raised. I am unconvinced that a review and rating systems will effectively limit fraudulent activities and establish a positive reputation. 3/5
TEAM: A strong and extensive team that seems to have an appropriate breadth of experience for the project. Most of the team however, do not link Shipit on their LinkedIn accounts so may need to update. I am scoring this a 3 until they update -- guys, please reach out when you have done this and I will be happy to consider this section a 4. 3/5
PRODUCT: The MVP is working and the utility provided by the tokens seems convincing enough. However, the system does not seem to be decentralised, relying on Shipit to transfer the fee and the amount payable for the item to the traveller. I am unsure why this requires blockchain. 3/5

Definitely an interesting project. The team seems to be solid including the advisory board. I think there are some improvements that will be needed to the product idea for it to scale but again this is at its infancy stage and I'm sure as things go on they hopefully will iron out the kinks. But will be keeping a close eye on the project.

The peer to peer concept is one that is adaptable to many industries. Shipping is one that can have tremendous potential if executed properly.
With millions of flyers globally on a daily basis, Shipit can be a leader in this space in the implementation of blockchain.
Of course there will be growing pains as in any new venture, but with the right team in place the impossible is possible.
Trust, safety and security will be utmost importance. Making sure the packages being shipped are not switched putting the traveler in danger as well as packages being stolen and leaving the sender with nothing. As mentioned these are growing pains that can be figured out and accomplished.
The 3 T's - Technology, tracking and transparency can make Shipit one to watch in the shipping industry.
