About LeagiON
What we offer?
LeagiON creating an environment where players of all skill levels can earn money playing sports they love on their own schedule. Powered by the decentralized autonomous league (DAL) utility token, issued on the Stellar Distributed Ledger, our ecosystem allows participants to run something as simple as four team basketball tournament or as complicated as large professional sports league by harnessing the power of Blockchain.
What leagiON is not?
- NOT a betting website
- NOT an eSports platform
- NOT a fantasy sports hub
How it Works?
Our environment is built on a blockchain-based peer to peer decentralized network. It functions as a meeting place for players and managers giving them the tools to organize teams, one off games and tournaments. The winners are determined by matching game scores provided by competing parties after the competition. Once the scores are compared and matched on our blockchain, winners are rewarded with the prize purse minus our fee. Prize purse is collected in DAL tokens prior to the game/tournament only from the game participants. This eliminates any opportunity for gambling and other unwanted behavior. Unlike gambling, DAL prize competitions are legal in most jurisdictions, and are legally defined as a "game of skill".
People of all income and skill levels can organize and participate in teams, tournaments, or even entire leagues. It would be easy for player to create a profile and get invited to enter a competition by the manager/organizer, or challenge their peers directly for a game of golf or tennis for example. leagiON will provide Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) tools to allow our members create game schedules, connect with players, facilitate online broadcasting of games, and much more.
Through the DAL platform, ambitious managers in Japan can create and manage a baseball league of teams in New York City. Friends who play basketball in a park can challenge other groups right on the spot. A tennis player can organize an impromptu tournament with as many or few participants they can find. All for the prize of DAL tokens.
