Hi Cem,
We're only partly decentralised, where it makes good commercial sense and where it benefits the community. There is no way that we could operate a freelancer platform on the blockchain as it's too expensive, slow, and we need to run complex AI models.
We have deal flow from large corporates and are essentially building a scalable AI driven consultancy. We also have deal flow from large institutional funds, and world-leading accelerators. We're building a business, not a code base...
The reason that blockchain based freelancer platforms are not profitable is likely because they vastly underestimated how challenging it is to acquire customers at a good CPA and also build a fully functional product. For example, dream.ac has 50+ automated emails for different scenarios, there are over 300 different attributes sent to MixPanel, over 50 different payment states, etc.
DREAM has been live for two years - started January 2016. The live platform is here dream.ac (it was previously Moneo).
Best,
Richard
